I have been within 5 miles of 4 out of the 5 great lakes and the Atlantic ocean. And I haven’t seen any of them.

my backyard use to be Ontario lake. It’s no ocean but it’s a decent substitute. I’ve also had the Atlantic ocean as my back yard. that was nice, but noisy. Damn ocean never shuts up! haha I miss living in both locations.

Oh, I’ve been in the Pacific many times. Just not any of the east coast bodies.

Having been born here in Southern California, it’s easy for me to lose perspective on things like beach being in your backyard. Crazy how easy it is to take for granted something like the beach when some people live very long lives never seeing it in person.

Same. I live a 1/4 mile from the water. Right coast though.
